Mockups

There’s nothing like seeing a real life simulation of your lighting project. Our 1,200 sq. ft. mockup facility has a 15 foot high moveable ceiling, making full-scale installation possible. Request a mockup.

Classes and Workshops

Tours

The Lab has a demonstration area where you can make side-by-side comparisons of lighting technologies and try a variety of controls. You will see the effect various lamp types have on color. Lighting Evaluations

The Lab conducts informal evaluations of lighting products. Current evals include LED PAR 38 and T8, Induction lamps, and LED streetlights.

Conference Rooms and Classroom

We have two business conference rooms available for rent. Our small conference room has an 8-person capacity and our large conference room can accommodate up to16 people. We have a classroom facility, which holds up to 80 people. Please complete a Room Rental Agreement (be sure to complete the form in its entirety) if you are interested in using one of these spaces.

Outdoor Lighting Center

Our full scale mock-ups of arterial roadways are performed at our off-site outdoor lighting center, which has the capability of comparing three streetlights at once at heights of 30 feet

You can even fax or e-mail your plans to us for review.

Classes and Workshops

We offer classes ranging from basic lamp technologies and design to advanced controls workshops, both on-site and in cities throughout the Northwest. In many cases Continuing Education Credits are available for our classes (see current class calendar). You can also inquire about customized classes for your group.

Technical Assistance

We will answer your questions about tricky lighting problems, energy codes, or obscure products and help you find that elusive cut sheet. We may have already produced a fact sheet or a sample lighting layout guide with just the answers you need.
 

Tours

The Lab has a demonstration area where you can make side-by-side comparisons of lighting products and try out a variety of controls. You can also see the effect of different lamp types on color in our color boxes.  An average tour takes about an hour. We can tailor a tour to make it as technical as you would like. We can even focus on a particular topic.  

Mock-ups

There’s nothing like seeing a real-life simulation of your lighting project. Our staff completes all fixture installation, room construction and painting. You simply provide the fixtures, paint, floor covering and any furniture and accessories needed to create a realistic simulation. More information and to request a mock-up…
