Introducing: Spotlight on a Difference Maker

Lighting Design Lab is proud to introduce Spotlight on a Difference Maker, a new feature article we plan to publish quarterly. For over 30 years, LDL has worked with utilities and industry partners from all backgrounds. A lot has changed in the past 30 years – but one thing that remains constant is that the success of utility energy efficiency programs is exceptionally reliant on providing valued services to their customers and establishing mutually beneficial partnerships with trade allies and industry actors.
 
Spotlight on Difference Maker is not necessarily about the trade ally who delivers the most energy savings; we don’t plan to highlight the distributor who sells the most TLEDs or the lighting designer who wins the next design award. At least, not simply because of those accomplishments.
 
Instead, this series will seek to spotlight industry professionals who have overcome unique challenges before finding success and modeling leadership – especially as it relates to their ability to evolve alongside rapidly maturing technologies and adapting their business models to shifting utility program goals.
