COURSE DESCRIPTION FROM CITY LIGHT:
Get training on the new DER Interconnection Handbook. This training will cover what is in the Handbook and what needs to be done to apply for and have a DER (solar, battery storage) interconnected to City Light’s grid. The Handbook will be published on January 2, 2026 and takes effect immediately.
- Describe the purpose of the DER Interconnection Handbook and key changes
- Identify the phases of the DER interconnection process
- Describe DER requirements for installers and customers
- Support DER customers with compliance with City Light requirements, including DER inverter settings and attestations
- Locate key documents like the new interconnection agreements and attestation forms
