On behalf of Seattle City Light and NW regional utilities and energy management organizations, Edward is responsible for the overall vision and growth of Lighting Design Lab. He also manages the Technology Services group for the Customer Energy Solutions (CES) division of Seattle City Light.

Before his role with CES, Edward worked as City Light’s street lighting engineering manager, developing the utility’s planned maintenance and LED street lighting programs. He served as director of the Municipal Solid-state Street Lighting Consortium, a position appointed by the U.S. Department of Energy with support from the City of Seattle and City Light. During his time with the Consortium, Edward directed the planning and implementation of the city’s energy efficient streetlight conversion. Seattle was one of the first major U.S. cities to adopt residential LED street lighting under his advocacy and leadership. Edward is a committee member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and brings over 30 years of business, engineering and energy management experience to Lighting Design Lab.
