Commercial Lighting Guides

These guides were created to be general templates for energy efficient designs for various types of commercial building spaces. They are based on the Advanced Energy Design Guide (AEDG) series published by ASHRAE to assist people in going beyond the energy requirements of Standard 90.1-1999.

If you work on efficient design projects, especially LEED buildings, we urge you to get copies of the various AEDG guides for reference. These guides offer examples of one method of saving 30% over the ASHRAE 90.1 Standard, but there are always several ways of doing this. Our commercial lighting guides offer alternatives to the single example in the AEDG. If you are aiming at getting a rebate from your local electric Utility, going for a tax credit of working on LEED points, you will find these incredibly useful.
